In partnership with the Liverpool Library and Information Service, Dr Brandon Taylorian has successfully received a Scouloudi Public History Grant through the Royal Historical Society to deliver 'dating antique photographs' workshops in 13 libraries across Liverpool.

The workshops are due to take place from October 2026 to April 2027 and will involve Dr Taylorian, who is a Research Fellow at the University of Lancashire, offering his expertise to members of the public on how to date and interpret their old family photographs.

Each workshop attendee will receive a free copy of Dr Taylorian's Handbook of Antique Photographs to take home with them. Those who attend the workshops will receive one-to-one guidance not only on how to date their photographs but also how to categorise, handle and store them to preserve their important hidden histories.
